Collaged Pendants -- Thing A Day #22-28

I got a little behind in my picture taking.  First I was sick.  Then my daughter was sick.  Then her 8th birthday was Saturday and now I'm studying for mid-terms.  These were quick to make.  I just need to add the chains and pinbacks.  My daughter actually made me one to wear.  I'm probably going to make more of these in the next few weeks.

 

It was great participating this year!!!

Beginnings of Crocheted Scarf - - Thing A Day #6

I'm using a K hook and double crochet to finish faster.  I will probably put a single crochet border around using a smaller hook.

I will add my thing-a-day for yesterday up on Sunday.

My Halloween Shadowbox

Mailed out today to Germany.  I'm a few weeks late partly because I was holding it because I hadn't heard from my partner but in the spirit of the swap I shouldn't have done that.  I hope she enjoys it.

Sometimes life gets alittle blah...so I decided to spice things up

The past few weeks have been like that for me. I've had quite a few shows the past few weeks and have shows this weekend, next weekend, and the weekend after. Honestly the craft/art show circuit has been slow and has forced me to reevaluate my product offerings.

I love what I do but I want to branch out more so I've been quietly designing and redesigning my curvy girl line and I'm really starting to see where I want things to go. These designs are just a few of the new line launched at the recent Curves in the City Shopping Soiree.

I'm working on placing the cards at different shops. We need alittle more self love. :)

Basically designers worldwide design a page in a calendar to be assembled and distributed. I signed up to do March 29, 2010...my birthday. I have no idea what I'm going to design but I figured it would be a tribute to my favorite things...sounds good? Due 7/15/09.

Summer Projects: Red, White, and Blue Ornament Exchange

After participating in Kecia/Lemoncholy's Easter Ornament Swap, I decided to do another. I'm doing Allegra/Bijou du Jour's Red, White, and Blue Ornament Swap. I have an idea of what I want to do...I have to find the best picture to make it work.

I like doing the swaps because it challenges me to do something out of the ordinary for me. Last time, I did a combo of mixed media and upcycling. I'd like to stay with that idea and use another old family picture. I have one in mind but I have to see if I can crop it the way I want. Plus I need to make sure I have the right colors of paint but time is running out. I've been lollygagging and its due June 25th. Don't let me forget!!!
