Supply Shopping: A.C. Moore

I did a little shopping for supplies to work on new projects.  Most of my things are packed in anticipation of moving soon.

More sticker madness!
I've been wanting to try this glue gun so I picked it up.
Finally I can afford some dies.

More stickers and stamp pads with embossing powder

Some loose papers
Some paper packs

I'm back at the Brooklyn Lyceum on May 1 + 2, 11 am to 7 pm

It's a perfect time to shop for gifts for Mother's Day, Father's Day, and graduations.   I will be selling with the uber talented jewelry designer, Yania of Yania Creations.  We always have a great time at the Lyceum.  Plus there's a place across the street called Yomari's that sells the most amazing empanadas.  Oh God, my eyes roll back in my head just thinking of it.  And the prices are insanely affordable.

You can find out more about the market by visiting

Collaged Pendants -- Thing A Day #22-28

I got a little behind in my picture taking.  First I was sick.  Then my daughter was sick.  Then her 8th birthday was Saturday and now I'm studying for mid-terms.  These were quick to make.  I just need to add the chains and pinbacks.  My daughter actually made me one to wear.  I'm probably going to make more of these in the next few weeks.
It was great participating this year!!!

Beginnings of Crocheted Scarf - - Thing A Day #6

I'm using a K hook and double crochet to finish faster.  I will probably put a single crochet border around using a smaller hook.

I will add my thing-a-day for yesterday up on Sunday.

Framed paper collage - Thing a Day #1

I created this framed collage for the annual One World One Heart Giveaway.  You can put a small picture in the red frame.  Or add your own quote.

Some technical difficulties

Some people were having problems entering the OWOH contest so I reverted to the basic template till I can find the issue.

One World, One Heart Giveaway

The contest is closed. I will be announcing the winner later today.

A few years ago, I discovered this great giveaway online called the One World, One Heart Giveaway.  What made it great wasn't just the prizes but the concept.  Started in 2007 by Lisa of a Whimsical Bohemian, this giveaway event was designed to bring bloggers together from around the world who may never ordinarily meet. It closes the gap of the blog community and enables us to interact, discover new and wonderful people, and in the process possibly win a prize or many prizes along the way. 2007 had roughly 85-90 participants. In 2008, the number of participants tripled and in 2009 911 bloggers participated in a global event representing 28 countries.

This will be my second time participating and I plan on offering a prize here and also on my style journal, Project Danielle.

What's available?
A 4x6 framed paper collage perfect for framing a small picture or quote along with a few surprises.

What do I need to do to win?
You must leave a comment on this post in order to win along with a way for me to contact you.  You can link back to your blog, twitter, or email address (One of the only times I will ask for an email address for contest.)

This contest is open to international participants and I will announce the winner on February 15, 2010.

Be sure to check out the other amazing bloggers on the magic carpet of One World, One Heart.

I'm back!!!!

Hi everyone!

I needed to take a much much much needed break from blogging and selling for a few months.  Needed to fresh the brain and the creative juices.  We all need to pull the plug and reboot at times.  During the last few months of 2009, I felt I had drifted away from the core of what my business and craft was supposed to be so I needed to wipe the slate and begin again.

Are you ready to join me for the ride again?  I hope so.

What's on the agenda?  Well today marks the 4th Anniversary of Collective Elements.  Four years ago, I opened my shop as a consignment shop featuring a variety of artists and crafts.  In 2008, I decided to make the switch to just carrying my own products.  While the past two years have been dedicated to paper love, the future brings the addition of a variety of new products.

Did you know I dabble in jewelry making and fiber arts?  How about sculpting and photography?  It's all coming and soon.

To make this anniversay month a great one, I'll be sharing some things with you.

First, I have a new online can find it at  You can still shop at Etsy but I will be offering most of my newer products at my main shop.

Second, I'm participating in the annual Thing-A-Day.  I figure its a great way to keep me motivated and introduce you to new products hitting the shop.

Third, of course I'm doing One World, One Heart again this year.  I'm thinking of the perfect item to offer you and details on that will follow shortly.  That will run until February 15, 2010.

And of course, I always welcome feedback from you.  Let's make 2010 a great year and thanks so much for reading.
